C-USA MBB, Impatience-Patience Describes Rice-Memphis tonight. Rice 51, Memphis 77.

Yes, that is what transpired at Tudor Fieldhouse tonight. Both Rice and Memphis were impatient and patient at in opportuned times. Where Rice was patient in the first half. They weren't in the second. Where as Memphis showed no patience in first. Then showed just opposite in second. That's when both teams showed where they they are now. A lack of height against plenty of height.
When Memphis came out after half, a concerted effort was picking up the tempo. Lay-ups, dunks is they did.
Have a listen to both coaches as they discuss,...

C-USA MBB opener for both Rice Owls and USM

Houston, TX-Conference USA foes Rice Owls and Southern Miss begin conference play tonight at  Rice University-Tudor Fieldhouse.
Southern Miss comes in with a 11-4. Most significant game so far this season #8 Arizona. A 63-55 loss, on the road. Had 35-27 lead at half. Shot 36% second half, while Arizona shot 54%. 84% (10-12) at free throw line. That was the difference in the game.
The Rice Owls definitely happy to be back at Tudor Fieldhouse. It hasn't been a happy home, but, it's home none the less. Tonight begins a new, 0-0. Conference play offers a new season and new opportunity's.  As we've all found out, anything can happen in conference play. It hasn't an uncommon place for teams to right the ship and win enough games to extend the season. 1 hour before tip. We're about to find out.

Why some coaches get hired and the rest don't.

One of the best links of today that I've read so far. It'll give you some insight into what goes through an AD's mind when hiring coaches.
